Behavior

We believe it is essential to clarify the singular principle that drives us and explain our desire to pursue a path that may appear unconventional. All too often, startups that begin to gain traction in the market find themselves swept up in the whirlwind of investment rounds from various funds or venture capitalists worldwide. These entities pressure startups to conform to standardized business models that they deem most effective and sustainable, homogenizing the unique journeys, stories, and visions of founders with those of countless other companies.

This pressure often leads to the rise of software offered on an annual subscription basis, with an imposed expectation to maintain margins between 85% and 90%. Such demands encourage exponential growth solely driven by the desire to go public. Unfortunately, this quest for rapid scaling frequently culminates in substantial layoffs, all justified in the name of the so-called fundamental principle of customer centricity.

We must question how we can genuinely serve our customers when, behind the scenes, we are compelled to prioritize external investor demands favoring exponential growth. For us, being customer-centric means going against the grain. We believe software is more sustainable when offered with a perpetual license and annual maintenance, providing complete cost transparency for customers. In contrast, subscription models often obscure future expenses, leaving customers to face unexpected charges at contract renewal.

We advocate for growth rooted in real earnings rather than inflating a bubble of artificial financial success. We reject the unpredictable gamble of stock market valuations. Furthermore, being customer-centric also means being employee-centric—welcoming individuals into our organization without the fear of having to let them go due to external pressures demanding increased profit margins.

In today’s dynamic business landscape, we firmly believe that true customer centricity means swimming against the current. It necessitates prioritizing sustainable practices over short-term gains while remaining true to our core mission. Together, we can foster a business model that champions transparency, trust, and long-term success for all stakeholders.
